In November 2006, Laziali nel Mondo and Polsinelli Public Affairs LLC proudly presented the Prelude to a Gemellaggio (sister-region) between the Lazio region of Italy and the Capital District of New York State.  The goal of a gemellaggio is to have an international cultural and business alliance that promotes exchanges and projects in areas of business, tourism, education, culture, arts, sports and technology.

A delegation of officials from Italy came to show their  support of our Laziali nel Mondo association and to commence talks that will lead to the formal organization of  the gemellaggio.

The visiting dignitaries included:

Dr. Bruno Vacca: Director of the Department of Emigrants

Pietro Muscedere: Mayor of Fontechiari, Frosinone

Paola Muscedere: Wife of the Mayor

Franco Tanevini: Representative of the Frosinone Province

Antonio Farina: Special Representative

Claudio Marziale: Special Representative

Frederico Polsinelli, LLC was instrumental in setting up meetings between the visiting delegation and local dignitaries, legislators, area businessmen, and members of the community. The highlight of their visit was a personal tour of the State Capital Building, followed by a Gala at the New York State Museum.

The Gala was a fabulous evening of fine dining, music and speeches. The Honorable Assemblymen, John J. McEneny and Paul Tonko welcomed the guests of honor and spoke of the wonders of Italy and the exciting possibilities for this valuable cultural and business alliance.
